Kymmendö
Kymmendö is a leafy island in Stockholm’s southern archipelago. Here you will find an active agricultural farm, a restaurant open during the summer, a sea gas station and a country shop.
In the summer the island is filled with visitors and in the autumn, it takes on a slightly lower pace. If you are looking for peace and quiet, the autumn is the perfect time to visit Kymmendö. August Strindberg spent many summers here on Kymmendö and was inspired by the island’s inhabitants and its beautiful environment. Both the houses where he lived, and his writing cottage are well preserved.
