Myggskär - the Archipelago Foundations overnight cabins

Myggskär is located in the outer archipelago but belongs to the Fjärdlång Nature Reserve. Here you’ll find two small overnight cabins that are always open, but cannot be booked in advance.
Out here in the outer archipelago, simplicity, stillness, and a place to breathe await you. To make the stay enjoyable for everyone – and to ensure that nature and the cabins remain in good condition – there are a few important things to keep in mind:
It’s first come, first served, and you may stay for up to two nights. There is one larger cabin has 4 beds, and the smaller cabin has 2 beds.
The cabins are open all year round.
Dogs are welcome, but must always be kept on a leash within the nature reserve.
There is no waste collection – everything you bring with you must also be taken back home.
The small cabin has no stove and external heating sources may not be used.
There are no cooking facilities, so bring your own camping stove and preferably use it outdoors.
Firewood must be brought with you.
Everyone is expected to clean up after themselves – leave the cabins just as you would like to find them.
Remember to fasten both window latches when you leave.
The stones belong to the nature – do not rearrange them, move them, or build cairns or labyrinths.
By showing consideration and following these simple rules, we help preserve the charm and nature of Myggskär for future visitors.
Welcome out!
