Sälstationen
The experimental station Palmen was started in 1940, in the middle of an ongoing world war. Small inconspicuous recreational cabins were built by the water. It was important that the facilities did not arouse suspicion.
The aim of the facility was to train seals to be able to detect foreign submarines before they could attack Swedish transport ships.
Welcome to visit the place where the seals were trained. You will find more information on signs and in the Coastal Past app.
